 Awkward is an American teen comedy series which centers on  central character is Jenna Hamilton, a Palos Verdes, California, teenager who struggles with her identity, especially after an accident is misconstrued as a suicide attempt. The series is based around social outcast Jenna Hamilton who, after receiving a "carefrontation" letter, has a legitimate accident, though it appears as if she tried to commit suicide. By making changes and embracing her misfortune, she becomes well-known to her peers. While dealing with her love life and her relationships with other peers she still has to manage the unfortunate drama that goes along with being a teenager.
